Neighbor Display

A hand-drawn, hand-cut, hand-printed display face project embracing imperfections, similarities, and differences.

Created over 36 consecutive days in 2025 by Lydia Stutzman and posted to Instagram under @TheLydiary, this set of letters and numbers was carved out of 2x2 inch lino-rubber squares. This printed series explores the new shapes created through overlapping characters and the relationships and negative space of the characters when they're jammed together in a tight space.
